Samuel DiChiara
This year, Samuel DiChiara has been given the privilege to serve as your Alabama FBLA state president. He is currently a junior attending Central High School in Phenix City, Alabama. As a student there, he has learned to become an active member of his school and community by serving on the Alabama State Advisory Council for Career and Technical Education, and the Career and Technical Education Commission in the coming year, as well as participating in Beta Club and the CHS Ambassadors. He has also contributed to his community by personally accomplishing several hundred hours of volunteer community service coaching middle-school level soccer teams, carrying out various activities for the Roy Martin Recreation Center children’s summer camp, founding a project designed to aggregate thousands of textbooks and other school supplies to be donated to worthy causes in the coming year, and supervising events for medical centers, schools, and other community organizations within Phenix City. He has also worked with the diligent help of his friends and fellow students at CHS to compete successfully in National History Day, Future Problem Solving, Community Problem Solving, Scholars’ Bowl, and Model United Nations. In addition to these activities, he is a player on the CHS Varsity Boys Soccer Team, was awarded the CHS Principal’s Award for receiving the highest grades in the sophomore year of the class of 2013, will serve this fall in Washington, D.C. as a United States Senate Page, and currently serves as the CHS FBLA local chapter president. This year, Samuel DiChiara will be proud to be involved as the precocious and ambitious members of Alabama FBLA traverse the Gateway to Greatness.
